OUR WORKSHOPS
THE BIG SIX (6 HR)
The Big Six Course is a live, six-week workshop of weekly 1-hour Zoom sessions. Leading you through “The Big Six” – the 6 most impactful steps you can take – our passionate expert’s guide and inspire you to take personalized actions. We help you move to a sustainable, low footprint life by giving you the why, the how, the support, & the accountability you need.
PERSONAL SUSTAINABILITY WORKSHOP (1 HR)
In this workshop, you’ll learn what a carbon footprint is and how to accurately calculate your own. We’ll help you compute your personal footprint, see which areas of your life have the biggest impact, and understand how you can take action to make the biggest difference where it comes to climate change.
TERMS & TECHNOLOGY
LIVE ZOOM CLASS – Attend the six live 1 hr. Zoom meetings each week and students will receive the majority of the education. Remind students to download the latest version of Zoom.
POD – We label each Big Six Course cohort, using a unique Pod number.
LU.MA -–Luma is an event management software that we use for hosting our members-only Zoom events (classes).
WAIT-LIST – The Eco-Warrior quiz and the Lu.ma event add students to your wait-list for future Carbonauts’ courses.
COURSEWARE – supplements the live zoom meetings packed with resources, course recordings, and simple assignments.
CARBON CALCULATOR – will help you understand your biggest source of carbon emissions, and your biggest opportunities for reduction. Completing the calculator is a milestone in this course!
COMMUNITY – All students have access to our private, global, social eco-network that provides networking, tips, and tools
RESOURCES – Use these resources to continue on your journey to sustainability!
CARBON OFFSETS & CLIMATE POSITIVE CLUB – We believe that well-vetted offsets are an important and necessary tool for helping individuals get closer to – or ideally into – carbon-negative territory. When you’re carbon negative you’re a member of our climate positive club.
SOCIAL NORMS – When someone else reduces their emissions as a result of your actions, you’re doing even more than your fair share!
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION – Once you've completed all lessons in the courseware, you'll receive a certificate of completion. We are excited to help you get there!

If you are hosting the event on your platform. It’s required that we have ample time to test it ahead of time, similutating as many variables as possible.

Attend a kickoff meeting where we can discuss your preferences for
a) signing up students (Lu.ma, My Developement)
b) web conferencing platform (Zoom, WebEx, Teams)
c) system to email students before and after the course (Lu.ma & Personal email account)
d) internal marketing channels
2) PROMOTE THE COURSE
Promote the course, and get 30 people to sign up.

3) ENSURE PEOPLE ARE COMMITTED TO ATTEND
• I understand that by signing up I am committing to attend. I will email you if I am unable to attend to allow ample time for somebody else to fill my spot.
• I am grateful that the company is paying for this workshop and I commit to attend with my camera turned on.
4) EMAIL REMINDERS TO ATTEND
Send 3 or more reminders to attendees.

5) EMAIL ATTENDEES PRE-COURSE AND POST-COURSE INFORMATION
Send pre-course to all and post-course emails to the attendees.

Use the course marketing assets above to Invite your team members early and often. Use as many channels as possible.

• Focus on the personal benefits, what they’ll get out of it - “you’ll be happier, healthier”
• Rewards & Prizes - “free t-shirts for the next 5 people”, “take the course and donate to a charity of your choice.”
• Remind them how it aligns with your organization’s sustainability goals.
• Set follow-up reminders and try to reach all of your channels 3 or more times.

After you complete the marketing survey, please schedule a 15-minute meeting with Matt Daniels to discuss the results, and outline a plan to promote the course.
ECO-WARRIOR QUIZ
This fun 3-minute Eco-Warrior Quiz can be found in the Cohorts table above. It can be used anytime to build interest in the Carbonauts courses. The results will show you who your greenest employees are, and add participants to your wait-list.

How to get great attendance & NPS (WIP)

• Select students must be willing to make a commitment to high attendance, cameras off, etc.
• Offer students incentives, rewards for attending all classes, and reducing their footprints: (company rewards, ie. vacation day)
